Chiesa
Arcidiaconale di S. Maria Nascente
(The Archdeaconry Church
of the Assumption of the Virgin)
(Pieve) Dating to before the year 1000, the present
building- put up between 1761 and 1819 to a project

earlier gothic church whose choir had been frescoed
by Titian's workshop to designs by the great master.
There are twelve statues representing the titular saints
of the dependent churches of the Archdeaconry on the
facade (1875-1876), and a mosaic of the Nativity of
Mary on the lunette. Inside important works testifying
to the history of the church are to be found. Of particular
note are Titian's
Madonna and child (1560?), the works of Cesare Vecellio
