Pieve
di Cadore 
is
to be found in the middle of the Cadore Valley, between
the Contras and Montericco hills, reaching out on one
side as far as the slopes of Mount Antelao and on the
other to the Cime di Laste. It can be reached from the
South, from motorway A27 Venice- Pian di Vedoia or by
rail on theVenice or Padua to Calalzo di Cadore lines,
from where local buses serve Pieve and other towns in
the Cadore Valley. From the west follow State Road 51
Alemagna from Cortina di Ampezzo and from the east the
51bis Alemagna from Auronzo di Cadore. The town consists
of the villages of Tai, Nebbiu`, Pozzale, Sottocastello
and Pieve. Pieve is located at the meeting place of two
valleys, the Piave Valley which opens to the east (Auronzo
di Cadore) and the Boite Valley opening to the West (Cortina
d'Ampezzo). |
